Ludlow Alley Pedestrian Bridge, Arena District
City of ColumbusThe Ludlow Alley Pedestrian Bridge spans over the CSX Railroad tracks neighboring the Nationwide Arena in Downtown Columbus. It was constructed utilizing rehabilitated riveted trusses that were salvaged from a decommissioned roadway bridge. While the trusses were being restored off site, EMH&T designed new floorbeams, stringers, concrete deck, substructure units, and lighting to fit the proposed configuration. This prominent structure is strategically located to accommodate the heavy foot traffic associated with events held at the Nationwide Arena.
