Tartan West Elevated Storage Tank for the City of Dublin, Ohio

Dublin, Ohio

EMH&T designed and prepared construction drawings, contract documents with specifications, and secured all required government approvals for a 500,000-gallon spheroid water tank and appurtenances for the City of Dublin, Ohio. The project required coordination with multiple stakeholders and subconsultants, including two governing municipalities (City of Columbus and City of Dublin), an electrical engineer, a communications specialist for connection to Columbus' SCADA telemetry system, telecommunication companies for potential antenna installations on the tank, and a tank painting specialist. A unique aspect of the project involved a detailed tree survey and requirement to preserve as many trees as possible to meet the City of Dublin's rigorous tree preservation requirements. To accomplish this, we coordinated with an adjacent property, a proposed elementary school, to realign the access drive to connect the proposed roadway through the school.
