CIVIL ENGINEER PROJECT MANAGER
EMH&T is currently seeking a Civil Engineer to fill a Project Manager role with our Development I site design team located in Columbus, OH.
The Project Manager manages projects from inception to completion. You will ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with regulations and safety standards. Leading a team of engineers and technicians, you will oversee planning, design, and execution for primarily private partnerships.
The Development I team primarily focuses on residential site development projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the project team and work to develop creative solutions to address client needs and solve design and construction challenges that may arise.
- Initiate work or consultation with internal departments in such areas of transportation, environmental, stormwater.
- Coordinate the planning and organization of workflow, provide technical oversight of various project components, oversee the preparation of design calculations, details and specifications, as well as assist with plan reviews and modifications.
- Excellent time management with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

- Keen eye for identifying and advancing business opportunities.
- Skilled in building and nurturing strong, lasting relationships.
- Strong ability to coach and mentor others effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of eight years of experience in civil land development.
- At least three years of experience as a lead designer on projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Land Desktop or similar design software, with a proven ability to conduct quality reviews.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio or ability to obtain registration shortly after starting; additional state registrations are a plus.
