Congratulations Beavercreek Township Park District!

EMH&T congratulates the Beavercreek Township Park District on their second place recognition in the 2021 Awards of Excellence program presented by the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA). Their project, Owen’s Place – A Universally Accessible Play & Recreational Space, was awarded second place in the competition’s “Capital Improvement Projects – $1.0 to $2.5 Million” category.

EMH&T’s Landscape Architecture & Planning Division was proud to have worked with the Park District and the Beavercreek community on this significant project. EMH&T provided the planning and landscape architecture design for this universally accessible play and recreational space that accommodates those with physical and cognitive disabilities while still providing them with opportunities to challenge themselves, feel a sense of accomplishment, make friends, and above all, have fun!

The submissions were judged by a panel of 40 parks and recreation professionals from around Ohio.
