Columbus is the epicenter
Ohio’s capital, the state’s largest city with 2.2 million residents and one of the Midwest’s fastest-growing cities, is a lively, diverse, and vibrant community.
Columbus offers a rich, accepting culture with myriad recreation options. Some of our favorite entertainment districts and attractions—many of whom EMH&T is proud to have had a hand in developing—include the Short North, German Village, the University District, the Arena District, and Downtown area, which includes the Scioto Mile and the Scioto Peninsula. Attractions that are not be missed around Central Ohio include the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, COSI (Center of Science and Industry), the Columbus Museum of Art, Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, National Veterans Memorial and Museum, and Easton Town Center.
Columbus is the proud home to three professional sports teams, including the Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL), the Columbus Crew (MLS), and the Columbus Clippers (MiLB), in addition to the Memorial Tournament of the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship of the Korn Ferry Tour. Oh, and we certainly cannot forget The Ohio State University Buckeyes. NCAA athletics are serious business around Central Ohio.
Our thriving arts and entertainment scene provide diverse options across many of the neighborhoods that make up our great city. Columbus offers numerous local shops and restaurants that have received national recognition, craft breweries and distilleries, and a host of artisanal coffee houses. Central Ohio also features over 20 Metro Parks with miles of nature trails.
The solid commerce landscape in Columbus is innovative and forward looking. Columbus is home to a variety of industries, including automotive and mobility, fashion and retail, finance, food and beverage, insurance, life sciences, and
manufacturing. Central Ohio is also a major technology and semiconductor supply chain hub, playing host to some of the world’s largest and most recognizable brands. The Columbus Region is proud that 5 Fortune 500 and 16 Fortune 1,000
companies have chosen Central Ohio for their corporate headquarters.
