CIVIL ENGINEER

EMH&T is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer, Project Manager to join our dynamic Urban Design team. The successful candidate will oversee and manage civil engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring all aspects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations, safety, and standards. You will lead a group of engineer(s) and technicians throughout the design process. You will oversee the planning, interpreting, designing and executing of civil engineering projects including public/private partnerships, higher education infrastructure, urban corridors, specialty housing, parking garages, demolition plans and more. This will include the definition of scope, development of design concepts, estimating costs, coordinating work and performance of staff assigned to projects, and capturing and communicating project plan changes, reviewing invoices and conducting project QA/QC reviews. In addition, you will serve as a client liaison collaborating with stakeholders and internal teams to coordinate project schedules, deliverables, problem solutions, budgets and quality work products.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of six years work experience in a civil land development organization with at least two years’ experience as a lead designer on projects; demonstrated hands on experience with AutoCAD Land Desktop or similar design software and work product production in order to conduct quality reviews of preliminary and final work products; be a registered PE in Ohio or the ability to gain registration shortly after starting; and additional state registrations are a plus.
