CIVIL ENGINEER

If you’re a passionate and motivated individual looking to kickstart your career as a Civil Engineer, we want you to join our Industrial and Logistics team. EMH&T is currently looking for an enthusiastic Civil Engineer Intern with exceptional communication and analytical skills to work collaboratively with CAD Technicians, Engineers and other professionals to support private and public clients. Our Industrial and Logistics team concentrates on land site development with a rail component. Additional civil design work includes sanitary, stormwater, roadway design, rail, and road crossing. Projects may include trucking facilities, pump stations, lumber yards, car dealerships, medical campuses, single family homes and more. You will work under the mentorship of an Engineer or PM who will coach and guide you throughout your career development. You will participate in the creation of plan drawings and calculations while utilizing Auto CAD civil 3D. You will have the opportunity to be responsible for portions of projects and will typically be involved in multiple projects at the same time providing you with a wide diversity of experience. You will be guided on how to apply your engineering education to practical design solutions with access to an abundance of resources at your fingertips.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. FE exam passed in Ohio. Prior work experience, including internships or co-op experiences in civil, construction, or a related area and exposure to engineering consulting firm environment; and familiarity Microsoft Suite and with AutoCAD or similar software to develop work plans, preferred.
