CIVIL ENGINEERING CAD TECHNICIAN
EMH&T is currently seeking a CAD Technician to join Development II, our site civil development team located in Columbus, OH.
Our CAD Technician works collaboratively with the engineering team to draft technical engineering design components, assist with preliminary and completed layouts, design concepts, and detailed design drawings from technical notes, sketches, and/or other drawings. EMH&T has an excellent support team that will train you on our drafting and design standards so you are set up for success in this role.
The Development II team supports commercial, retail, medical, higher education projects and more.
Responsibilities
- Draft technical engineering design components (e.g. plans, profiles, exhibits, base map changes making redlined corrections, mark-ups or setup drawings from grading points and work changes)
- Assist with preliminary and completed layouts, design concepts, and detailed design drawings from technical notes, sketches, and/or other drawings
- Learn the EMH&T drafting and design standards
- A self-starter that demonstrates dependability and consistent work efforts
- Ability to work independently and enjoy working in a team environment
- Planning and organization capabilities with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly
- Ability to perform effectively while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
- Receive and apply constructive feedback
Qualifications
- Technical education, specialized training or work experience with one or more CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Microstation, ARC/INFO
- Knowledge of basic math (geometry) involved in the production and use of drawings or models
- Experience with drafting
