CONSTRUCTION REPRESENTATIVE

EMH&T is currently looking for a Construction Representative for our Construction Services team located in Columbus, OH.

The Construction Representative (CR) will be responsible for supporting Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) with the capacity to manage smaller construction projects under the direct supervision of the appointed SCR. Observation and managing responsibilities include ensuring adherence to contract and subcontract terms and conditions, quality assurance, compliance requirements and engineering specification verification. The CR performs field observations and assists with project meetings and contractor pay applications. CR also documents and facilitates the Request for Information (RFI), Change Request (CR), and Change Order (CO) operations within tracking software.

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have a degree in Construction Management plus 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, i.e., 10+ years of engineering/technical experience observing and monitoring construction projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Familiar with contract language defining scope of work, terms and conditions concerning payments and limit liability.
