RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE – CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
EMH&T is currently looking for a Resident Project Representative to join our team in Columbus, OH.
Our Construction Services team monitors the work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance primarily for public capital improvement projects. The RPR will oversee, inspect and monitor contractual field work which includes excavations, drainage facilities, road surfaces, water line installation and sanitary sewer piping and structures; schedules work and inspection phases with contactor and agency personnel.
This position is full-time, seasonal.
Qualifications
Qualifications include experience in construction related activities, including experience in the inspection of state, county and public construction projects, past experience must involve CIP projects. Knowledge of construction practices and techniques, engineering terminology, principles and techniques of civil engineering including materials testing, surveying and plans review and knowledge of materials used in construction projects. Other combinations of experience, education and registration may be substituted.
Registration with the ACIA preferred.

All EMH&T field personnel are subject to our safety-sensitive testing program. This means that your name will be placed in a pool for random screenings after your program training is completed. Details of the program are available to you prior to acceptance of the offer.
Physical Demands
- The ability to work outdoors all year in all types of weather conditions and exposed to dust and allergens 6-7 hours during the workday.
- The ability to walk and stand for the majority of the workday.
- The use of portable electronic office equipment.
- The ability to walk on rough terrain, climb a ladder, and cross over construction debris.
- Intermittent bending and squatting are required while examining various construction materials and observing construction site operations.
- Capable to wear head protection while on a construction site and hearing protection when working near heavy highways and/or construction noise.
- Capable of wearing clothing appropriate for the weather. No short pants allowed.
