Summary

EMH&T is seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our Development II team. Our engineers are involved in commercial site development design projects and work collaboratively with the project team to develop creative solutions to address client needs and solve design and construction challenges that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial land site development, including site planning, design and project management. You will initiate work or consultation with internal departments and multidisciplinary teams, including landscape architects, surveyors, construction representatives, environmental scientists and other civil engineering professionals; you will be involved in identifying and acquiring essential information needed to complete assignments, e.g. municipal standards, local utility and/or owner requirements; assist the senior project manager by planning and organizing workflow, providing technical oversight of various project components, overseeing the preparation of design calculations, details and specifications, as well as assisting with plan reviews and modifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with experience in land/infrastructure development. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful solutions. Diverse experience applying engineering principles and techniques to assist project team to create thorough plans for complex and diverse projects.
